Sue Mitra, M.D. has been serving the primary care needs of Melbourne area residents since 2002, and is committed to providing exceptional care to the patients of Medical Associates of Brevard. As a physician who graduated at the top of her class, Dr. Mitra is exceptionally knowledgeable about the human body and the ailments that affect her patients.
Her breadth of knowledge is matched only by the compassionate and attentive care she offers her patients. Dr. Mitra is a published physician and a respected expert in cardiovascular medicine. She is especially interested in heart disease, hypertension, diabetes and proper preventative care and screenings. She is also an expert when it comes to metabolic screenings, mental health screenings and osteoporosis screenings.
Her passion for preventative care is reflected in her dedication to helping her clients with weight management, tobacco cessation and other health maintenance efforts. Dr. Mitra can offer minor in-office procedures, including mole biopsies and limited join injections as well as wellness exams and physicals.
In her spare time, Dr. Mitra enjoys traveling, reading journals and magazines, painting, arts and crafts, music and computers.
