This month, FLORIDA TODAY reported on the severity of tree pollens particularly microscopic cedar and oak that are causing misery for allergy sufferers in Brevard County and elsewhere in Florida.
Allergist Dr. Parvana Beerelli of Medical Associates of Brevard in Melbourne said this year's outbreak has been especially bad. And even worse, we are a state that deals with pollen year round.

Peter S. Dovgan, M.D. is board certified in general and vascular surgery. He received his undergraduate and medical degrees at Creighton University. Ahammer discovered the near-drowning victim had stopped breathing, so she performed mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and revived her. The girl was hospitalized on a ventilator for a few days at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, then released, Fire Chief Don Hughes said.

...Melbourne gastroenterologist Dr. Adwait Jathal said that almost all colon cancers start off as polyps or small growths on the colon, allowing for detection before cancer develops.
It is the third leading cancer death in the U.S. and it's the most preventable, he said.
Jathal said tests should begin at age 50 if there is no family history of colon cancer; if there is, the test should start at 40 years old. The tests should be done every 10 years or more frequently if polyps are found...

It takes three months to get an appointment with your physician, you wait three hours in his waiting room before he sees you and then you get three minutes with him at the end of it all.
