Neti pot flushes out nasal pollens

This month, FLORIDA TODAY reported on the severity of tree pollens particularly microscopic cedar and oak that are causing misery for allergy sufferers in Brevard County and elsewhere in Florida. Allergist Dr. Parvana Beerelli of Medical Associates of Brevard in Melbourne said this year's outbreak has been especially bad. And even worse, we are a state that deals with pollen year round. Brevard lifeguards see increase in rescued swimmers

Ahammer discovered the near-drowning victim had stopped breathing, so she performed mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and revived her. Commander would not let cancer define him

...Melbourne gastroenterologist Dr. Adwait Jathal said that almost all colon cancers start off as polyps or small growths on the colon, allowing for detection before cancer develops. It is the third leading cancer death in the U.S. and it's the most preventable, he said. Jathal said tests should begin at age 50 if there is no family history of colon cancer; if there is, the test should start at 40 years old.
